Saturday night is your last chance to ski or ride the park on Sundance. We will be installing 6 features from this year, with a ton of snow that has been stockpiled since March. We have more than last year so it will surely be a great last day of shredding. Saturday April 28, 2012 at 5:00pm.

In the spring of a snowless season, Nashoba Parks has more than enough snow for a rail jam. The USASA judges were marking down huge scores while competitors earned end of season points to move on. The next event is the pond skim on Sunday, March 11, 2012.

Paul Fletcher volunteered to try out a new goggle cam (not a helmet cam) during the ATR finals at Nashoba Valley Ski Area. The race was great, somehow the race department created a beautiful ski surface even with 60 degree temperatures.

Take a trip through the Sundance Terrain Park with Kieth Kriescher, Nashoba's Terrain Park Manager. Kieth fabricates the features in the parks during the summer months, earning himself the nickname "Jib". He grooms the park as often as possible, pushing piles of snow into the largest jumps we've seen here at Nashoba. His obsession with perfection has lead the park crew to maintain the takeoffs

The Nashoba Valley FreeRide Series starts with a Rail Jam, builds up to a Slopestyle, and finishes with the Big Air competition. The jump takeoffs were rebuilt for this competition and were the largest jumps we've ever made available to the public. Jack Kohan and Tony Tagierello won their divisions, shown with winning prize RAMP skis.

We are 100% open today with 17 trails, 10 lifts, 18 tubing lanes, and 20 terrain features. It feels like Spring outside, with temperatures in the mid 40's, but that doesn't mean the ski season is over. Despite the weather yesterday, the conditions here are great! Come check us out!

Today we hosted the Mt. Dew Vertical Challenge Race at Nashoba. It's a great event with fun racing, prizes, handouts, games, and a chance to qualify for the Mt. Snow championships in late March. Ski you at next year's race! We've been making snow and the conditions are great!

Each team raised at least $240 in pledges to be eligible for the race. For every $150 raised over the registration fee, they had one second deducted from their team times. Any team can win if they raise enough money for the Jimmy Fund. All team racers received a lift ticket for the day, a goodie bag, and a barbecue lunch. You won't see much skiing in this snow report although we are 100% open and the conditions are great, because we have so many events and programs going on in the next couple of days. February is a busy month with exciting events like ski races and terrain park competitions. We also have charity races, and some fun lesson programs for kids starting up.

Great conditions despite last night's rain. We recently opened Nashoba Glades, so we now have 10 trails open, 8 lifts running, 5 park features, 3 tubing lanes, 2 tubing lifts, and with tonight's low temp dropping below 20 degrees we will be making a lot of snow and adding more terrain.

Snow making has covered so many trails that the groomers are all out to catch up. They made more snow at the Tubing Park and will be pushing to open Tubing as soon as possible. The Snow Makers are running full-blast with guns blazing on Chief, Wardance, Nashoba Slope, Sundance, the beginner area, and the tubing park. We will be opening more terrain as soon as possible. Another beautiful day at Nashoba Valley Ski Area in Westford, MA. Pow is open in the beginner area, and Nashoba Slope is open serviced by the Snowdance Double chair. The terrain park added a 4th feature today, they now have a 18 foot down box, 16 foot down rail, 16 foot dance floor, and a 8 foot flat box.
