Gift Cards are valid for all goods and services at Nashoba Valley including Nashoba Valley Ski Area, Nashoba Valley Snow Tubing Park, the Outlook Restaurant, and the Tiki Bar. A gift card is a great way to give your child safe spending money, with the peace of mind that they will spend it on fun activities or food. Gift cards may be accepted by the Sport Thoma retail ski shop.

posted on Thursday, December 1, 2011 2:38:59 PM Etc/GMT+5So, we purchase the gift card on-line, then is it mailed to us or do we have to come pick it up?
The choice is yours. We can hold it for you here, and you can pick it up at the Ski School and Information Desk. During the checkout process you will be given the choice to have it mailed to you. You can choose a different shipping address (perfect for gifts) or have it mailed to your billing address. We charge $5 for certified mail. Most people prefer to save the $5 and pick it up, since they will be here anyway to use the card, but a lot of people do choose the mail option as well.

The gift card special is only applied to online gift card purchases. For every $60 of gift card you buy, you will get $10 added. You do not receive any free gift cards when purchasing other products, just gift cards. The offer is only valid online, and only before December 31.

No, the outside vendors are not owned by Nashoba Valley Ski Area and do not have the ability to swipe your gift cards. It is valid for all goods and services at the Ski Area, tubing park, ski shop, ski school, rental shop, cafeteria, the Outlook Restaurant and Lounge, and the Sunset Tiki Bar.

I'm thinking of buying my husband some gift cards for Christmas--he would most likely be buying weekend 1/2 day lift tickets.
Yes, you can use it to buy lift tickets, season passes, 5-packs, lessons, anything we offer! It is valid for all goods and services at the Ski Area, tubing park, ski shop, ski school, rental shop, cafeteria, the Outlook Restaurant and Lounge, and the Sunset Tiki Bar.

posted on Thursday, December 15, 2011 11:15:50 AM Etc/GMT+5i want to buy 6 $30 gift cards, will i then get 1 additional $30 card?
Yes, that's exactly how it will work. The promotion is that you get $10 for every $60 you spend. So if you buy 2 $30 cards you'll get $10, buy 4 $30 cards you'll get $20, buy 6 $30 cards you'll get $30. When we say for every 60, we mean that at any multiple of 60 we will give you another $10. So spend $60, get $10. Spend $120, get $20. Spend $180, Get $30. Spend $240, get $40, Spend $300, get $50, and so on. See how every time I up the amount spent by $60, we are adding another $10? We'll do that for any amount, someone ordered $10,000 in gift cards recently, and we honored the deal for them..

posted on Thursday, December 15, 2011 11:39:43 AM Etc/GMT+5Can I get 3 separate gift cards with 50.00 on each 1 plus the 20.00 extra for buying online?
If you spend $130, you will be over $120 and will be receiving an extra $20. $130 + $20 is $150, which would be 3 x $50 cards. If you want to spend $150 you'll get $170, which would give you 3 x $50 cards + 1 x $20 card.

We have now added other values so that you can get a $50 card. You won't be taking advantage of the promotion if you are spending less that $60.

posted on Thursday, December 15, 2011 11:42:06 AM Etc/GMT+5If I want to purchase to multiple-weekend ski lessons for my two children, can I buy seven gift cards online and use them to purchase the lessons?
You can do that. If you know you will be using the cards yourself, it's much easier to just get it all on one card. It means we only have to load 1, mail one, and debit from one when you use it. We do allow multiples for gift giving, but ask that when you plan to use it all yourself that you put it all on one card.

posted on Thursday, December 15, 2011 11:44:56 AM Etc/GMT+5what happens if the gift card gets lost?
Treat the gift card like cash. If you lose it, we cannot replace it for you. If you hand your card to someone else, they can use it. If you drop it in the parking lot and a stranger finds it, they can use it. Once you have picked up your card, or signed the certified mail slip, it cannot be replaced.

thanks -
If you spend $300, we will give you an extra $50. That gives you $350 to split, which would be 14 x $25 gift cards.

posted on Thursday, December 15, 2011 11:54:16 AM Etc/GMT+5What do you mean by "Gift cards may be accepted by the Sport Thoma retail ski shop." Are they accepted there or not?
The Ski Area does not own the Sport Thoma Retail Shop. They have committed to accepting our cards, and did all last season, so we have every reason to believe that they will continue to accept them this season. Since we are not in full control of their operation, we used the word "may". There may be certain items that are extremely discounted or special sale days (Tent Sales) where the card cannot be used on every item. Like I said, in the past the card has always been accepted, and we expect it to be accepted, but we don't own the Ski Shop and can't give a 100% promise that you will be able to use it on every item in their shop on any given day. I personally used my card there in December of 2011 to buy a new pair of skis with bindings, and some ski pants, and was able to use the card very easily. The Ski Shop is great, by the way, and I love the new skis.

posted on Wednesday, December 21, 2011 11:52:35 AM Etc/GMT+5I got a gift card for christmas but i dont want it can i trade it in for its cash value.
No, you can't trade it in for it's cash value. Some people want to pay $60, get the $10 free, and then return it and end up with $70 cash. We don't allow that. It's valid for 7 years, and you can use it here during the summer at the Tiki Bar, at the Ski Shop, in the restaurant, for all sorts of things so you should be able to find some use it. If not, re-gift it.

posted on Wednesday, December 21, 2011 11:58:14 AM Etc/GMT+5I want to buy Gift card to pay for weekday six ski lesson program, how should I do it? Basically I want to pay my gift card money towards ski lesson program. Appreciate your answer. Thanks.
You can do that, many customers are doing that to get a discount on everything we offer. Here's an example, let's say you are interested in a $200 weekday 6-week lesson program. You can pay $180 for gift cards, which qualifies you to get $30 for free. Your total gift card amount will be ($180 you paid) + ($30 free) = ($210 total). You can then use that $210 card to buy your lesson program, and give the remaining $10 card to your child so that they can purchase some candy from our new "Candy Bar" in the main lodge!

On the gift card page you use to buy your cards, there is a gift card value checker tool. Just enter the number on the back of the card into the form, and click submit. It will show you the value remaining on the card.

posted on Wednesday, December 21, 2011 12:01:51 PM Etc/GMT+5Can I just drop in and purchase a gift card? Or are they only available through online order and pick-up?
Most of the time they are available online-only. From Dec. 17 - 24, 2011 we are allowing you to come into the Ski School Desk and purchase gift cards in person.

I just ordered a $60 gift card for my son. We have different last names, will this be a problem when he comes to pick up and use the giftcard?
That shouldn't be a problem, if you can send him your email confirmation. If he shows up with the email confirmation printed out or on his phone we can give it to him. Otherwise we will call the phone number you used at purchase and confirm that he is allowed to pick it up. Gift cards cannot be replaced once they are picked up, so we have to be careful about giving them out to the wrong person.

posted on Monday, January 2, 2012 10:15:37 AM Etc/GMT+5I wish to buy $135 tubing package for 6. Can I buy a $120 gift card and get $20 in bonus $$ to apply to this?
Yes you can! You would pay $120, get $20 for free, and we would give you a card with a total value of $140. You could use $135 on your tubing 6-pack and still have $5 remaining on the card. I'd give it to your kids so they could buy a hot chocolate in the tubing lodge, but you could also keep it for an apres ski drink in the tubing lounge or at the Outlook Restaurant.

You can only use Nashoba Valley Ski Area gift cards at Nashoba Valley Ski Area. We do sell gift cards at other retailers, including COSTCO, and those gift cards can be used on everything here, they can be used just like the gift cards we sell here.

posted on Tuesday, February 7, 2012 11:30:29 AM Etc/GMT+5Are you guys open at the end of March 2012?
It is dependent on the weather. We'd like to be open into late March but with warm temps and rain it may not be possible. Most years we are not open after March 20. This year has been a great reminder that the weather can do anything. Currently we are 100% open with all tubing lanes, so it's a great time to come tubing. We are an outdoor activity, and that could change fast, so don't miss your chance to go tubing this year by putting it off, come tubing today!

No, you have to use our tubes. The are specially designed for maximum speed, safety and integrity at high speed, and for our lifts to be able to drag them back up the hill with you in it. Tubes are provided for you at no additional cost.

posted on Saturday, February 18, 2012 10:18:35 AM Etc/GMT+5Hi there!
I purchased a tubing Groupon that expires March 7... I thought I'd use it by now but it hasn't seemed snowy enough, plus taking kids out of school midweek is hard to plan. Can I use it until the end of this season (hopefully March 16 at least) ?
Thanks!
There has been plenty of snow here, we've been 100% open since early January with all 18 tubing lanes open and all 4 lifts running! The Groupon will expire on March 7. We don't know what the weather will do, hopefully we will be tubing into mid-March but you never know what the temperatures and weather conditions will be, so we advise you to come tubing right now while you still can!
